A child star whose meteoric success as a member of The Jackson 5, Jackson became an internationally influential icon during the 80s through his solo career. In 2009, MJ was set to play an epic 50 night residency at London’s O2 Arena but was being administered propofol, midazolam, and lorazepam by his personal doctor, Conrad Murray. While rehearsing for these shows Jackson received a fatal dose of propofol and benzodiazepine, which triggered acardiac arrest resulting in his death at 50 years of age.

In 2011 Dunn was the driver of a car involved in a fatal car accident. After the height of his fame in the ‘50s and ’60s, Presley’s health was deteriorating in the 1970s, and he developed a dependence on prescription drugs to get through the day, all while maintaining a grueling schedule. He also turned to food for comfort and had gained a considerable amount of weight.

Cirrhosis is not unique to jazz musicians, having been the cause of death in Ludwig van Beethoven (5) and many popular musicians such as Sammy Davis Jr. His cause of death was heart failure, but he was also dependant on drugs and alcohol throughout his career. There was no autopsy, so no one knows for sure the real cause of his death. His girlfriend at the time was taking heroin, but Morrison’s drug of choice was cocaine.
